Our Favorite Wooden Toddler Towers

A toddler tower became invaluable in our household when our toddler was one and a half.

My toddler no longer wanted to eat in a high chair, instead opting to eat standing up for meals. He hangs out in it when we’re in the kitchen and is entertained the entire time we’re cooking. We brought it over to the sink and he began washing his hands there, helping with the dishes and cleaning things.

Now three years old, he still uses it to eat and has begun using it to help us cook. He’s pouring his milk or measuring flour for cookies, he’s cutting bananas, and preparing his cereal or yogurt. With how quickly they grow out of most gadgets, we’ve truly got our money’s worth from this stand.

It’s a mainstay in our kitchen which is why when choosing one, I wanted one that was wooden for durability and specifically a light-colored, birch wood to fit the aesthetic of our house.

Here are some options I almost went with, some my friends went with, and a review of the one I purchased.

My girlfriend opted for this folding one as space is limited in her kitchen: Foldable Tower

Another friend opted for this one and I personally love the shape so much: Rounded edges

It has the same anti-tip feet as the one I opted for which I felt was important but didn’t have a back rail. At the time I felt my toddler would need this so I opted for the one that came with the back rail. In the end, I didn’t find it necessary.

The one I went with: Super Sturdy Tower

As I’ve mentioned, this tower gets used daily and we’ve had it for almost 2 years. My toddler drags it all around the kitchen himself and it remains solid. The anti-tip feet were something I specifically sought out as he loves to climb on everything and I wanted to make sure this wouldn’t tip over. It’s durable, easy to clean and the wood is quality. It’s fairly straightforward and easy to put together though I don’t think it came with directions.

A more affordable, colorful option: Standing Tower

Another cute option, similar to the one I purchased: Less than $80

A super sleek tower for those with larger budgets: $$$

This mid-century modern-esqe standing tower is by the brand Audwell. I’ve seen it in the kitchens of many designers I admire. I adore the sleek look and lines of this tower, it’s like utilitarian art! If I had the budget, I would have opted for this one!
